  • What is Afterpay?
  • Afterpay is a service that allows us to offer our customers the ability to make purchases now and pay for them in four equal payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.

  • How do I use Afterpay?
  • Just shop Yellowboxshoes.com and check out as usual. At checkout, choose Afterpay as your payment method. You will be directed to the Afterpay website to register and provide payment details (Visa or Mastercard). If you’ve used Afterpay before, just log in to your Afterpay account. Then complete your order – it’s that easy!

    Please note, Minimum Order to be eligible for Afterpay must be between $35 and $1000.

  • How does the Afterpay payment schedule work?
  • All Afterpay customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase. The remaining three payments are deducted automatically every 2 weeks in equal installments from your selected payment method. If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log in to Afterpay to make your payments early. Afterpay will then adjust the amount owed accordingly.

    You can log in to your Afterpay account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

  • What if I can’t pay an Afterpay installment?
  • If funds are not available at the time the automatic payment is due, you will be charged an $8 late payment fee by Afterpay. An additional $8 fee will be charged if the missed payment is not made within 7 days. Late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order.

  • When will my items be delivered if I use Afterpay?
  • Afterpay orders are delivered within our standard shipping timeframes like any order from Yellowboxshoes.com. Free standard shipping is available for orders over $75.

  • Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single Afterpay transaction?
  • Yes, your bag value must be between $35 and $1,000 to use Afterpay on Yellowboxshoes.com.

  • How do I return or exchange an item purchased with Afterpay?
  • Afterpay returns follow our standard return process. Use our online returns portal to print a return label or return your item to us at your own cost. Please note, refunds for Afterpay will be refunded from Yellow Box Shoes to Afterpay. We cannot provide an exchange or cash refund. As soon as the refund is processed it will drop into your Afterpay online account.

  • What if I want to return part of my order?
  • Afterpay returns follow our standard return process. Use our online returns portal to print a return label or return your item to us at your own cost. Please note, refunds for Afterpay will be refunded from Yellow Box Shoes to Afterpay. We cannot provide an exchange or cash refund. As soon as the refund is processed it will drop into your Afterpay online account.

    At Afterpay we love helping you plan, book, buy and pay for goods and services you need, without losing control of your money.
    But the delivery, quality and return of any goods and services you buy is always the responsibility of the retailers and the service providers you buy from. And the amount and type of return you can make on a product will always be determined by the returns policy of the individual retailer you bought the item from. You should be able to find out your options by checking their returns policy on their website or contacting them directly. Once a refund has been processed by the retailer it will automatically come through to us and once we process it, show up in your payment plan.

    Now – here’s where it gets a bit complicated, so pay attention!

    Our system will adjust your payments from your last instalment backwards. This means your final payment might be reduced to zero, but the rest of your payments stay the same. Our systems cannot spread the new purchase price out evenly across your four payments or across the remaining payments.

    Now – on the App, your refunded order will show up as “PAID”. We know this can be confusing and we are working to fix this right now. In the meantime you can click the “PAID” button to see that the payment has been refunded.

  • Why am I still being charged when I have returned the goods?
  • First things first – once you have returned your goods we need the retailer to accept the refund and let us know. They won’t refund Afterpay unless they are satisfied that goods have been returned in a manner consistent with their returns and refunds policy. So we have to wait for this to happen before we can settle your account – otherwise Afterpay would be left carrying the cost of any disputed returns and then we wouldn’t be able to provide you with this free service.

    We work with all our amazing retailers and service providers to try and make sure this process happens as quickly as possible – because that’s good for you. But we can’t control this and so we have to wait for our retailers to go through their proper process.

    That means our agreement with you – your short instalment plan – has to continue until we get final confirmation of a return or refund from your retailer and our systems process your refund in the amount agreed between you and the retailer.

    * Afterpay accepts Visa and MasterCard only. Must be 18 years or older and have a valid email address and US mobile phone number to sign up.
    **If funds are not available at the time an automatic payment is due, you will be charged a late fee of $8. If left unpaid an additional seven days, another fee of $8 will be charged. However, total late fees will not exceed 25% of the total order.
